update

oh, i juz realised it's been a week since i last posted an entry! x)
I'M BACK!! :D

to set things straight, i've been pretty much occupying myself and settling down very well here (: thanks for the concern to many! (: so here's to reprociate it, i'm gonna be sending some love from australia!! x)

... sending ...

sent (:
LOVES FROM AUSTRALIA!! :D

okay that was lame. anyway, i had my first orientation on tuesday. went to school, sat through hours of survival skills talks and that was the end of school. well good for one thing they actually provided free morning tea and lunch. but i guess it's still pretty much brain overload. cant really rem what they tried to input into us though. but i guess that was it.

we broke up into our different faculties towards the end of the day. talks about my enrollment which happens tmr. so i found out more about my course and everything yeah. and we realized that our course coordinator, he was a singaporean!! that didnt go home after studying :p haha cool eh! x) and which springs out another surprise, outta the 5international students taking the Exersice and Sports Science course, i found another singaporean student. which is like so rare considering that the whole uni itself only had a handful of singporeans around. good and bad though. good that it's a fellow singaporean, bad that it's a fellow singaporean. ): which springs to yet another surprise. we were told that there are 100 students enrolled into our course. which HMMM pretty much sums up to 95 local students joining us. good and bad! but i guess it'll be fun. exciting to immerse into the culture, literally :p

so yeah, last sunday we had a BBQ here in the student accomodation hereafter known as the village :p haha x) so yupp village BBQ. was actually quite dead. but i definitely got to know much more people than only those in my house x) and guess wad.
I TRIED KANGEROO MEAT!! muahaha!
yupp, they had kangeroo meat, that cute creature. noone actually liked it, but to me, i thought it tasted like normal meat :p haha x) taste bud problems! :D

anyway, like i said, been pretty much occupying myself here. with lotsa tv :p and i've been spending too much already ): i need to reimburse myself here by claiming back from my roomies the price of the past 2weeks of grocery. which to make matters bad, we've been eating ALOT. like $110 worth of groceries. geex.! but needless to say, it's good food (:

so i guess, that's it?
oh! did i tell you that next week iz the "second" orientation? :D that's why there's first. but yeah. it's called week ZERO. which makes this week week-1. lol. sigh! cant wait for school to start? i wonder.

yupp, til i update again!
loves (:

city trip

HELLOOO (:

since i've got pretty much nothing much to do...
I'M BACK TO UPDATE!! :D

well, on tuesday i shopped the whole of Box Hill Central :p i walked the whole area and i discovered another shopping centre called Box Hill Centro. and when i told my roomie Kammy bout it, haha she was so funny, she said the shopping centre i discovered was "mao pai" haha :p so from then on, we called that shopping centre the "mao pai" shopping centre x)

anyway, some discoveries.
i found the salvation army store (:
they literally sell things REALLY cheap.
i bought a mug for $1, and i saw this potato masher that my roomie said we didnt have the previous night selling at $1.50. haha turns out that my roomie also wanted to buy it that day but it was so ex she didnt want to get it. the stores were like selling them at 7+8? yeahhh.. big diff.
i bought FIVE tops :p at like a total of $24 AUD :p
3+3+6+6+6 = 24!!!
good buys!! :D
3 were from salvation army itself, the other 2 were on 50% sale at one of the stores. there was another pretty pink one at $6 that i was eyeing as well. but i couldnt fit into S. ): too big. ): and when i casually mentioned that to the cashier, her reply was you're too small. haha! funny.

and yesterday,
i went to the city!! (:
to find RACHEL LIM SHI WEN x)
and firstly, it's SOOOOO EXPENSIVE to travel from the suburb to the city!!! O.o there's this zone 1 and zone 2 thingy that they adopt here in australia.. and i'm living in zone 2 and the city area iz zone 1. so there. when i wanna travel from zone 2 into zone 1, i have to get that special ticket. and guess wad O.o it cost $10.60 to travel for an all-day fare into town. O.o GEEX! that's twice the price of travelling from home to JW and back O.o zomg.! and secondly, australia's transportation system iz soooo confusing.

anyway, rae brought me to eat this (i forgot what race's food izzit) slovaki. wow. it's super filling (: and it only costed me $12. haha i didnt need to eat dinner after that. so we shopped around, saw a few stores that sell super cheap stuff, but i didnt buy any cuz i didnt fancy them. rae says she'll bring me around to more places with good food and ice cream and all when i get down into city another day. but not soon cuz she's going to perth with her ed. BLAH!

you know, in melbourne city, it's juz like in singapore. the shops are also like what we have in singapore. Espirit, Guess, AX, swatch, Fossil, Country Road, Mango and more. the BK there is known as hungry jacks (: seems like Jacks is the king of hungry burgers. haha x) ohoh, and there's ripcurl there as well. i bought a pair of ripcurl slippers at $15. iz that considered cheap? hmmm but anyway it was a pair so i got it together with rae.

like juz outside that store, there was this guy basking, he was singing smth along knockknockknocking on heaven's door. pretty nice song!! does anyone know what song that iz?!? x)

so yeah, i'm still very bored but oh well.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY AILIN! (:

sigh, the calling system here is not very good ): upset. i wanna talk to baby but he cant seem to hear me properly. ):< argh

no orientation?!?!

hello again (:

juz thought of dropping another entry since i'm bored.
yeah. i said it..

I'M BORED!!!

you know smth, this school iz really cool. they're having a very special kind of orientation and they're bringing us to the beach at Lorne!! wherever that iz :D but yeah! can you imagine the whole university hanging out together in one beach?? haha at one restaurant??? haha cool stuff. no way izzit like the usual stay in school see-see-look-look kind of orientation!! (: haha it's a 3day 2nights thing. cool right? yeahh...

BUT

turns out i missed my orientation registration ):
means i cant attend orientation!! ):
ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

they said when they send the letter of offer, they would send the online registration as well!! BUT!!! i did not receive it somehow or another!! ): maybe it was because my offer letter got kinda mixed up somewhere the other time. i only knew i had orientation one week before i left, and the registration date closed on 12dec ):

how sad....

which means,
i'm gonna be stuck in my room with nothing to do for another week or so.

bored.

thank god for friends like ziqi who bought me grey anatomy. maybe it's juz time to open it and start watching....

(:
til i update again!

LOVES!

first day in aussie

hello (:

sorry this post iz a little delayed. well if you didnt know, i’m now in AUSTRALIA!!! (: and sadly, if you didnt know, it’s probably my fault cuz i didnt tell you so.

but anyway, back to the point! i’m now situated in australia, in my own nice and pretty little room.
and to aid a little understanding, the IT guy just set up the internet for now, that’s why i am now able to access the web!! which iz like so DUH.

few things to say. like, my school campus is literally across the street from my place. which means less than 5 minutes walk? i haven actually walked though, but yeah. this hostel iz really cool. i've got a mini pool which i can swim in, there’s even a jacuzzi pool that i can use, we have a common leisure room as well! in the common leisure room there’s a big tv and pool table, and downstairs of it there’s a basic gym. i guess i wont get fat stay in australia after all (: well if i still do when i come back, it’s probably cuz i was yeah, plain lazy :D

first things i did when i arrived? i went SHOPPING!!! :D

my caretakers are really nice people. they’re a married couple Mark and Joy, and they have a really cute daughter Melanie. haha and when i bumped into her, she was running around naked without her towel :p she lies around everywhere and anywhere and she’s REALLY, i mean literaly, CUTE!! (:

oh, and did i tell you about my roomie? X) she’s Cammie. nice quiet girl. she's 18! (which makes me feel kinda old) problem i have here iz that she’s from hong kong. her english iz not really good, so i have no choice but to resort to using chinese to communicate with her. and you know, my chinese wasnt always good? so yeah, trouble! but good in a way, i wont forget how to speak chinese :p her mother came down together with her. so typical scenario. mother and child from hong kong, speak to each other in Canto. hahahahahha, it sounded really alien to me :p

so yeah, back to the point :D shopping! Mark drove us all to the big shopping mall in Box Hill street :D wheee!! but nah, it wasnt leisure shopping, we went grocery shopping. haha. and erm, haha, i have already spent AU$100 today. geex. i've decided to snack healthy here, so i bought GRAPES (: and erm a pack of Anzac cookies, apple juice and that’s all for food!!! X) the rest was like toiletries, dishwashing liquid blah blah blah. yeah, i tink i’m gonna starve here :p

no la, i wont starve here, but i’lll try not to get fat. i've still got alot of things to buy though, Mark’s gonna bring me to do my bank account tmr and hopefully i’ll get to go to salvation army as well (:

and i guess i should end here and not bore you guys too much with the details (:

special thanks to all who sent me off at the airport.
(if i missed out anyone, please forgive me!!!)

sorry didnt really get the chance to talk to most of you alot. but still thanks, it really wasnt necessary! and thanks for all the gifts as well (: (erm, i really thought the happy pills were edible. until i realized why will anyone give medicine to people when i opened it and saw notes inside (: thanks!)

til i update again! loves from aussie!
and oh, as i have usage of limited band width, i might not be skype-ing too often.
and baby darling, i miss you! silly you, please sleep more okay? i'll be fine here (: loves.

"Remember, happiness doesn't depend upon who you are or what you have. It depends solely upon what you think."
— Dale Carnegie

Most people don't believe it, but it really is possible to think yourself happy. You start with one happy thought followed by another and another until pretty soon you're stacking them on top of each other, like layers of joy bricks. After awhile, you will have built such a solid wall of happy thoughts around yourself that wherever you go, you'll radiate joy. And all because one day you made the decision that no matter what, you were going to think a happy thought.

happiness is YOURS to control (:
